Lady Gaga was the first real millennial star, as stated in her Spotify artist biography. She made waves when she released danceable pop hits 'Poker Face,' 'Paparazzi,' 'LoveGame,' and 'Just Dance'-- all of which established her status as one of the biggest pop stars in the music industry.
She has not stopped since and has continued to expand her artistry by venturing into acting and making a jazz album, totally different from her initial musical style. Lady Gaga appeared in 'American Horror Story' where she received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for Miniseries or Television.
Now, the pop star wows us again with her extremely stunning performance in the Super Bowl 51 held in Houston, USA on Sunday, where she donned a sparkling silver suit and knee-high boots. According to Daily Mail, Lady Gaga not only showed her singing prowess to the audience but also delivered a powerful message of unity and inclusion.
She began her performance by saying that it was not an ordinary halftime show, and literally took flight from the lip of NRG Stadium. Super Bowl is the annual championship game of the National Football League in America, the largest professional football league.
Lady Gaga is a known vocal critic of Trump and many people were tense when she appeared in Super Bowl, as they feared that she would probably use the platform to candidly voice out her opinions against the US president. Lady Gaga greeted the people with "How are you doing tonight, Texas? How are you doing tonight, America?"
"We're here to make you feel good," she continued and then proceeded to open with 'This Land is Your Land,' an anthem by leftist folk legend Woody Guthrie that has been considered an alternative national anthem for the United States.

Lady Gaga then sang a mix of her famous hits 'Let's Dance,' 'Poker Face,' and 'Born This Way' in an anthem of inclusion that spoke of acceptance of people, regardless their ethnicity and sexual orientation. A special moment occurred when she sang some parts of 'Born This Way' to US vice president Mike Pence, with the lyrics 'No matter gay, straight or bi / Lesbian, transgendered life / I'm on the right track baby / I was born to survive.'
After which, Lady Gaga rendered 'America The Beautiful' while atop the stadium while hundreds of drones flew around the night sky behind her. She was then lowered into the stadium and onto the field, where she performed hits like 'Poker Face' and 'Born This Way.'
Before Super Bowl, America was up in arms because of the presidential election campaign which Trump won last November. It left the country more divided than ever. The new president was met with massive protests after taking office on January 20 and his policies have created protests and controversy.
On her Instagram account, Lady Gaga said that she planned to headline the Super Bowl slot entirely on her own, which defied the tradition of having lots of special guests in the halftime main acts. Lady Gaga did not have guest performers and instead, did a 13-minutes solo set in the stadium.
In the pop star's account, she stated "I dedicate every second to the love, diversity, compassion, and wild spirit of our fan base. To that kid who felt unwanted, or the grown up who remembers how hard it was to find acceptance. This is for you."
