Leila de Lima, President Rodrigo Duterte is mulling the possibility of making the senator’s driver a state witness against her along with several other sources on her alleged links to the drug trade.</p><br/><p>“He can become a witness. Why would I file a case?” “I can use many people. I can use a prisoner. I can use her lover who is her driver,” the <a href="http://www.philstar.com/headlines/2016/08/19/1615086/rody-eyes-leilas-former-driver-state-witness">Philippine Star</a> quoted him as saying.</p><br/><p>Duterte, who accused De Lima of maintaining an affair with her driver Ronnie Palisoc Dayan whom he also tagged as a bagman of drug lords in Muntinlupa, said he was even betting his office on the reliability of his evidence.</p><br/><div class="easy-ads"><div class="easy-ads-lite easy-ads-lite-bidvertiser-middle"><br/><br/></div><br/></div><br/><p>“You want to know if it’s true, go to the justice department and to the Commission on Human Rights, validate it yourselves and if you accuse me of lying, get back to me,” he said. “You want to know the truth? If I was lying, you can change me.”</p><br/><p>The president also defended his expose, saying De Lima is a public official whose own questionable morals make her unfit for office.</p><br/><p>“She created this scandal. She knows that she is a public official.What spare the family? The ride drops riders 168 feet at 65mph.</p><br/><p>Prosapio said the child’s cause of death hasn’t been confirmed, whether he died on the ride or if he fell from the slide.</p><br/><p>“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time,” <a href="http://metro.co.uk/2016/08/08/us-senators-son-10-dies-on-worlds-tallest-waterslide-6053900/">Prosapio</a> said in a statement.</p><br/><p>Kansas police authorities, on the other hand, declined to comment at the moment while investigation is still ongoing. Golden State Warriors reportedly pursuing Dirk Nowitzki

(CC BY 2.0)</span> </div><br/><aside class="mashsb-container mashsb-main"></aside><p>Now that the 2015-2016 NBA season is over, the Golden State Warriors now face a number of questions.  The glaring one, as has been rumored for many weeks, is whether they’re really going to make a move to get unrestricted free agent, former NBA MVP,  Kevin Durant.  In a post-NBA <a href="http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawakami/2016/06/20/warriors-11/">Finals article from Tim Kawakami</a> of the San Jose Mercury News, there might be another one that just went into the Warriors’ front office radar.  He is  another former NBA MVP, a future Hall of Famer who could be on the market, Dallas Mavericks power forward Dirk Nowitzki.</p><br/><p>To be clear, Dirk Nowitzki may not have any intention of leaving the Dallas Mavericks for any team, but the Golden State Warriors may have plans acquire him regardless.  Tim Kawakami reported that the Warriors’ front office was highly motivated after the Game 7 loss last Sunday to the Cavaliers, to do whatever it takes  to improve the Warriors so they can win it all again next season.   Kawakami said the team is planning to be “very aggressive” and pursue and sign free agents or any player candidates through trade.</p><br/><p>Nowitzki turned 38 on Sunday, however he still was able to contribute last season, averaging 18.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.  He does have a player option for about $ 8 million next season, but has said that he may opt out to sign a two to three-year deal with Dallas.  Nowitzki has spent his entire NBA career with the Mavericks, winning an MVP award, championship and NBA Finals MVP.</p><br/><div class="easy-ads"><div class="easy-ads-lite easy-ads-lite-bidvertiser-middle"><br/><br/></div><br/></div><br/><p>The Warriors however still have Kevin Durant in their sights this summer, and will try to sign him before anyone else.   Nowitzki however, is one very strong potential target for them, according to Kawakami.   Kawakami further said that the team planned, even before the recent Finals Game 7 loss, to make changes to their roster, with the bench being a prime area for change.</p><br/><p>Nowitzki has resisted overtures from other NBA teams in the past,  remaining committed to the Mavs.  With this in mind,  there’s no reason to believe that he will not continue to do so.  But if the Golden State Warriors aggressively pursues him, it may give him something to at least consider.</p><br/><p>LeBron James doesn’t like playing against Nowitzki, and that says a lot about why the Warriors are thinking of getting the former MVP.  The Finals Game 7 exposed the glaring need for a big man that can score in the paint for the Warriors.  With the free agency hitting the Warriors, who will have 8 free agents, it will be an interesting off season for the Warriors’ front office.</p><br/><div class="sharedaddy sd-sharing-enabled"><br/><div class="robots-nocontent sd-block sd-social sd-social-icon-text sd-sharing"><br/><h3 class="sd-title">Share this:</h3><br/></div><br/></div><br/><aside class="mashsb-container mashsb-main"></aside> <center> </center><br/><p><strong><a href="https://blockads.fivefilters.org">Let’s block ads!</a></strong> <a href="https://github.com/fivefilters/block-ads/wiki/There-are-no-acceptable-ads">(Why?)</a></p><br/><p><a href="http://kickerdaily.com/posts/2016/06/golden-state-warriors-reportedly-pursuing-dirk-nowitzki/" rel="nofollow">Kicker Daily News</a></p><br/><div class="easy-ads"><div class="easy-ads-lite easy-ads-lite-bidvertiser-bottom" style="display:block;text-align:center;"><ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display:block;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-3942681860132668" data-ad-slot="4831328630" data-ad-format="auto"></ins><br/></div><br/></div>

It was locked at 89-89 with 3:40 left, and Cavs’ Kyrie Irving broke the tie with a terrific three-pointer moment.</p><br/><p>Cavs won 93-89 after Green fouled James. He also mentioned the names of two Boston Marathon bombers, brothers Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, during his call.</p><br/><p>According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Mateen, who is a Muslim American citizen, had been investigated in 2013 over alleged social media threats and contacts with “a known suicide bomber.” However, he was not charged due to lack of evidence of wrongdoing.</p><br/><p>The gunman’s father<em>, </em>Mir Seddique Mateen, said in a televised interview that religion has nothing to do with the shooting. He said his son told him he was disturbed after seeing two men kissing in Miami a couple of months ago. <ul><li style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Nueva Ecija villages under state of calamity due to worm infestation</strong></li><br/><li style="text-align: justify;"><strong>The five villages include Barangays  Dolores, Concepcion, San Francisco, San Agustin and San Fabian</strong></li><br/><li style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Damages include P125 million worth of crops and a total damage of nearly 450 hectares of land planted to crops<br/></strong></li><br/></ul><p style="text-align: justify;">Five villages in Nueva Ecija have been declared under a state of calamity following the damages brought about by army worms that infested the onion crops.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">An article published by the<a href="http://www.mb.com.ph/nueva-ecija-villages-under-state-of-calamity-after-worms-crops/#yzUMrJ15RRQ4FZcv.99"> Manila Bulletin</a> indicated that the army worms infested onion crops in Nueva Ecija worth P125 million leaving a total damage of almost 450 hectares of crops.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">The Department of Agriculture (DA) Region 3 Field Office disclosed on March 29 that the army worms infested the young leaves of onions causing damage to the crops planted by the farmers of Nueva Ecija.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">As recommended by the Municipal Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), Mayor Leonido De Guzman immediately declared the five barangays in Sto. Domingo town under a state of calamity.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">The affected towns include barangays Dolores, Concepcion, San Francisco, San Agustin, and San Fabian.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">DA Region 3 Director Andrew Villacorta said his office has ordered the field officers to look into the affected areas to assess and control the damage caused by the infestation.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">Based on March 10 market price of P29 a kilo, the damages rendered a total loss of P125,533,750 due to infestation.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">Nueva Ecija provincial agriculturist Serafin Santos, said that 346.30 hectares of the 474.50 hectares planted with red creole onion in the municipality was totally damaged by the army worms infestation monitored last February.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">He said these army worms were “hatched by a certain kind of butterfly inside and quickly ate up the young leaves of onion.”</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">Of the initial damaged areas, Barangay Dolores had the largest at 187.40 ha (253 farmers affected); followed by San Fabian, 46.80 ha (65 farmers); Concepcion, 44.80 ha (76 farmers); San Francisco, 39.40 ha (61 farmers); and San Agustin, 28 ha (40 farmers).</p><br/> <p style="text-align: justify;"><br/><a href="http://kickerdaily.com/five-barangays-in-nueva-ecija-placed-under-state-of-calamity-worm-infestation/" rel="nofollow">Kicker Daily News</a></p>
