According to an article written by Ronnie Nathanielsz for <a href="http://philboxing.com/news/story-116582.html">Philboxing</a>, he was informed by ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer about the change of venue of Donaire’s first title defense. The fight, which is promoted by ALA Promotions, Donaire’s promoter Top Rank and local network giant ABS-CBN, was originally scheduled to take place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City on April 23. Top Rank President and CEO Bob Arum is reportedly attending the match. Carl Moretti, a representative of Top Rank told <a href="http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/14715605/featherweight-titleholder-nonito-donaire-defend-title-zsolt-bedak">ESPN</a>: “It’s a great opportunity for Nonito to defend his world championship in his homeland against a world-ranked and extremely capable opponent.” Bedak (25-1, 8 KOs) has won 10 fights in a row since suffering his lone defeat in a 2010 junior featherweight world title bout against Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. Donaire described his Hungarian opponent as an ‘overall fighter’. He said Bedak  got speed and pretty decent power if he wants to but he’s more of a technical fighter. He knows Bedak will aim to beat him by points but he won’t allow it to happen, that’s why he’s been studying Bedak’s fight tapes. <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/02/26/16/donaires-title-defense-moved-to-cebu">ABS-CBN News</a> quoted him as saying: “He’s a tough guy, a capable guy but we have faith that with my Dad we’ll come up with the best game-plan.” Originally, Donaire wanted to have a rematch with his last opponent, Mexican boxer Cesar Juarez. He disclosed during an interview with Karen Davila and Vic De Leon Lima on DZMM’s Pasada Sais Trenta, the main reason why he is willing to fight Juarez again is because the people enjoyed their title match held at Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He said: “The reason is lahat ng mga tao all around the world, nag-enjoy. (The reason is that everybody around the world enjoyed the fight.)
