He suddenly burst into flames in front of onlookers while taking a stroll in London.<div class="mh-content-ad"><center><ins class="adsbygoogle" data-ad-client="ca-pub-4371415587684975" data-ad-slot="7602366242"></ins></center></div>As per an <a href="http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/man-catches-fire-dies-london-street-haringey-john-nolan-70-age-police-appeal-metropolitan-a8111901.html">Independent</a> story, horrified witnesses tried to put the fire out, but were unsuccessful. Only when firefighters and paramedics arrived that the fire that engulfed Mr. Nolan was extinguished.Mr. Nolan was airlifted to a hospital where he died later. Post-mortem examination determined the cause of his death was due to severe burns.Police were quite baffled as to the cause of the fire because no “accelerants” that would have spread the fire was found in his body. Investigators are treating Mr. Nolan’s death as unexplained at this time.“We have spoken with a number of witnesses who saw Mr Nolan ablaze, but we have yet to establish how the fire started. Mr Nolan was a well-liked member of the community and none of our enquiries so far have indicated that he had been involved in a dispute of any sort.
