LOOK: Shocking transformation of a 9-year-old girl after being fat-shamed

One of the most common forms of bullying is fat-shaming or mocking a person’s size and weight. Fat-shaming comes from the societal pressure forced especially upon young women to have the ideal “thin” body type. Fat-shaming is bad not only because it is a form of bullying, but also because it pushes people of all body types to conform to a single ideal look. However, some cases of fat-shaming have interesting twists. Looking back in 2011, Breanna Bond hit an overweight index as she weighed a hefty 185 pounds. This put a strain on her breathing, even more so her daily physical activities such as walking. To make it worse, the youngster was bullied due to her huge size. In the talk show “Good Morning America“, Breanna recalled how she was targetted by bullies for her body. <blockquote>“Everybody at school would call me names. Having witnessed the suffering of her daughter, Breanna’s mom decided to step in and help her shed weight. Determined to change the life of her daughter, the mom drew up a what she called “zero-tolerance” weight-loss program. Breanna was set to limit her fat intake in food to no more than 20 grams. She was also trained to do intense cardio such as running, swimming, and daily walking. <blockquote>“There was nothing that stopped us. We went at night, in the rain, in the hail, in the fog, nothing. We had a zero-tolerance policy. Tyler Fugett, a 9-year-old Tennessee boy,  has been saving his allowance all summer to start a book charity drive for the prisoners at the Montgomery County jail and help them turn their lives around. The Clarksville 5th grader appeared unannounced with more than 100 books at tow that he wanted to donate to the local prison. With the help of his mother, Rebecca Corkren, Tyler traveled to a dozen stores from Clarksville to Nashville to buy more than 100 books to donate. <aside></aside>“I don’t want people to think bad things while they are in jail,” Tyler told <a href="http://abcnews.go.com/Lifestyle/year-boy-allowance-money-donate-books-local-jail/story?id=40225308">ABC news</a>. “I want people to get out and not do bad things again.” <div class="easy-ads"><div class="easy-ads-lite easy-ads-lite-bidvertiser-middle"> </div> </div> Corken added that the books they donated were carefully picked out and filled with inspirational stories. “I’ve read a few of them and looked through them,” she said. “We make sure not to bring any violent books. They are to better yourself.” The sheriff’s office was thrilled by the gesture and accepted the donation with open arms, as per an article published by <a href="http://www.insideedition.com/headlines/17276-boy-uses-allowance-to-buy-books-for-local-jail-ive-never-seen-a-kid-with">Inside Edition</a>. “Our jail library has no budget and there’s no taxpayer money that goes towards it,” said Sandra Brandon, public information officer for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. “We rely 100 percent on donations so when we get anything we’re just very excited.” According to Corken, Tyler is now rounding up personal hygiene items to donate to prisoners and those who are in need. “He’s doing the right thing.
