Fortunately, two of the personnel were able to catch the end of the stretcher.</p><br/><p>Many of those who viewed the video pitied Said; saying it was bad enough he already broke his leg in a gruesome way and yet had to suffer another drop which must have added to his excruciation.</p><br/><p>A few also defended the paramedics; saying they might just have been lowering the stretcher to fit it into the ambulance. However, they were quickly shot down by those who said stretchers are not lowered when being fitted into ambulances. They were also told that judging by the seemingly sudden reaction of the paramedics, the stretcher was apparently falling.</p><br/><div class="easy-ads"><div class="easy-ads-lite easy-ads-lite-bidvertiser-middle"><br/><br/></div><br/></div><br/><p><strong>Return to 2020 Olympics</strong></p><br/><p>On a positive note, Said — who was rushed to the hospital following the accident — showed a picture of himself walking with assistance again and vowed to return to the 2020 Olympics.</p><br/><p>“Believe me the adventure of Tokyo 2020 is still possible. And as soon as I’m back on my feet I’ll be back in training and searching for that Olympic gold,” the <a href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/olympics-2016-sports/article-3729590/French-gymnast-Samir-Ait-Said-feet-horror-double-leg-break-Rio-Olympics.html">Daily Mail</a> quoted him as saying.</p><br/><p>Said also praised his teammates for keeping their composure and said he is backing them all the way.</p><br/><p>“I’m behind all my pals,” Said said. “They managed to keep their act together after my fall. Now, users won’t have to crunch everything into 140 words as the micro-blogging site.</p><br/><p>Twitter said on Tuesday that the character limit will no longer contain the user names and photos and videos</p><br/><p>Jack Dorsey, Chief Executive of the social media service, made the announcement in a <a href="https://twitter.com/jack/status/735112286357102592?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">tweet</a> composed of 115 words.</p><br/><p>“A few simple changes to make conversations on Twitter easier! And no more removing characters for images or videos!” he tweeted on May 24.</p><br/><p>“One of the biggest priorities for us this year is to really refine our product, to make it simpler,” he said in a <a href="http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-36367752">BBC</a> story.</p><br/><p>Although Twitter did not extend the number of character limit, it said that this development would make users express even more since they are now encouraged to incorporate media attachments to their posts.</p><br/><div class="easy-ads"><div class="easy-ads-lite easy-ads-lite-bidvertiser-middle"><br/><br/></div><br/></div><br/><p>“When you add attachments like photos, GIFs, videos, polls, or Quote Tweets, that media will no longer count as characters within your Tweet. More room for words!” wrote the Twitter blog post.</p><br/><p>It also said: “When replying to a Tweet, @names will no longer count toward the 140-character count. This will make having conversations on Twitter easier and more straightforward, no more penny-pinching your words to ensure they reach the whole group.”</p><br/><p>The character limit of Twitter has long been an issue with many hints of finally removing it.
