24-year-old fast food addict loses 110 lbs after lifechanging surgery

Alicia Briggs, a 24-year old photo lab assistant, is a lifelong fast food addict. After losing 110 lbs and 80% of her stomach size, she now weighs even less than she did at 10 years old. As a fast food addict, Alicia got hooked to eating McDonald’s, Taco Bell, pizza and ready-made meals, causing her to weigh a whopping 198 lbs as early as fifth grade. Hailing from Kansas, Missouri, she continued to gain more weight easing into her teens. A 25-year-old woman from Tennessee gave birth to a child that grew from an embryo which had been frozen since October 14, 1992, almost the same age as the mother. In an interview with CNN, the mother, Tina Gibson, and her husband Benjamin were surprised after Carol Sommerfelt, embryology lab director, told them its exact age. Tina said: <blockquote>“Do you realize I’m only 25? This embryo and I could have been best friends.”</blockquote> The lab director told the reporters that this case was “pretty exciting considering how long the embryos had been frozen.” The last similar successful birth was a 20-year-old embryo.
