Fortunately, Omran and his family were rescued. However, the incident left a traumatic memory in the child’s mind.</p><br/><p>As seen on the video posted by the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cfBmRW3isc&oref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D7cfBmRW3isc&has_verified=1">Aleppo Media Center, </a>Omran was carried by a civil defense worker to the ambulance and unlike a child’s usual reaction, he was not crying during the rescue. He just sat there expressionless.</p><br/><p>According to an article published by <a href="http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2016-08-19/omran-daqneesh-wounded-syrian-boy-reunited-with-parents/7764870">ABC,</a> the nurse who treated him said that Omran didn’t even cry even as he was being treated</p><br/><div class="easy-ads"><div class="easy-ads-lite easy-ads-lite-bidvertiser-middle"><br/><br/></div><br/></div><br/><p>The spokesman of the Aleppo Media Center said that the child was in extreme shock.</p><br/><p>He didn’t say anything except ask for his parents and when he saw them, that’s when he started crying.</p><br/><p>Omran’s story is the story of every defenseless people, including children, in Syria.</p><br/><p>On August 7, Pope Francis renewed his call for peace in the ongoing conflict in Syria; saying that it is unacceptable that the defenseless people, including innocent children, are paying the price in the Syrian war, which is now in its sixth year.</p><br/><p><a href="http://en.radiovaticana.va/news/2016/08/07/pope_francis_appeal_for_peace_in_syria_/1249847">Vatican Radio</a> quoted him as saying: “Dear brothers and sisters, sadly, news continues to reach us from Syria, of civilian victims of the war there, in particular from the city of Aleppo. Arriving in the exclusion zone is similar to that,” he told <a href="http://edition.cnn.com/2016/07/13/world/inside-fukushimas-radiation-zone/">CNN</a>.</p><br/><p>“This was one of the creepiest things I have ever seen. I have been to many places, but nothing like Fukushima. The traffic lights are still operating but there are no cars around. Not many people seen this town for the last 5 years. I found food, money, gold, laptop and other valuables in the red zone. I’m amazed that nobody looted this town clean,” he said in a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/uglykiwi/media_set?set=a.1108392955906984.1073741934.100002088711813&type=3&pnref=story">Facebook </a>post.</p><br/><p>Loong shared that the purpose of his excursion is to spread awareness of the danger in using nuclear energy.</p><br/><p>He wrote: “This is the devastating effects of using nuclear energy.
