According to its post, the number of users watching videos on Instagram “has increased by more than 40%.” The allowance for lengthier Instagram videos started rolling out on March 29 but it “will be available for everyone in the coming months,” said the Facebook-owned site in its post. This feature of Instagram comes amid the popularity of another Twitter-like video sharing platform Snapchat. Instagram also noted in its post that the longer videos would open “more diverse stories from the accounts you love.” Aside from this, Instagram will also bring back the feature that allows Apple users to post videos pieced together from multiple clips in their camera rolls. The social media platform also downplayed fears that it will be changing the way it presents its feed.
