You go down into the bottom of the ocean and you are looking at a lake or a river flowing. I hope he himself will investigate the killings of people who have been judged with a cardboard,” she told the <a href="http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/801509/widow-tells-duterte-kill-drugs-not-people">Philippine Daily Inquirer</a>.</p><br/><p>While admitting that her husband—a pedicab driver—was a user, Olayres denied he was a pusher as evidenced by their hand-to-mouth existence. She revealed that her partner even voted for Duterte because he was in favor of his anti-crime platform.</p><br/><div class="easy-ads"><div class="easy-ads-lite easy-ads-lite-bidvertiser-middle"><br/><br/></div><br/></div><br/><p>She also shot back at her husband’s detractors who said he deserved it, saying it was easy for them to judge because they were not in her position.</p><br/><p>“They’re happy because it hasn’t happened to them. What if they lose a loved one, someone who is not guilty of the offense?” she said.</p><br/><p>Olayres added that since her partner cannot speak up for himself since he’s dead, it is up to her to clear his name.</p><br/><p>“I am not expecting justice for my husband. I know we won’t get that, especially since people believe the cardboards—cardboards that can never prove if the slain person is really a pusher. I just want to clear my husband’s name,” she said.</p><br/><p>Siaron was gunned down by unidentified assailants in Pasay City a day before Duterte gave his SONA. Col. Kato Martinez, an officer in the United States Air Force, and their four children remain in a hospital in Brussels.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">The <a href="http://www.guampdn.com/story/news/2016/03/30/martinez-children-recovering-burns-after-brussels-attack-relative-says/82448048/">Pacific Daily News</a> shared in an article published on April 1, 2016 that friends of the Martinez family said the four children, who suffered burns in the deadly attack, are recuperating while their father is still in the intensive care unit.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">Gail’s parents, who live in Corpus Christi, Texas received an outpouring of support following news of their daughter’s passing.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">Texas Representative Blake Farenthold who confirmed Gail’s death offered his condolences to the family through an official statement.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">“My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to the family of Mrs. Martinez, whose life was tragically cut short by the ISIS terror attack in Brussels. I ask that everyone offer their prayers and support to the Martinez family as they work through the pain and suffering that this horrific event has caused, and respect their privacy at this time,” Rep. Farenthold said.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">Gail’s father is a retired U.S. Navy sailor who is an immigrant from the Philippines.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">Her relatives are praying for the full recovery of her husband so he could bring their children and Gail’s body back to the U.S.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attacks that claimed the lives of 35 people, including Gail’s and left over 300 others wounded.
