The 18-year old actress placed sixth in the list while fellow Kapamilya star Kathryn Bernardo was also included at the 80th place ahead of known international celebrities like Olivia Wilde who previously ranked  11th in the list. The list was dominated by US, British and Korean stars led by Nana of the South Korean girl group “After School” who claimed the number one spot. Gal Gadot, the Israeli actress who stars as “Wonder Woman” in the upcoming “Batman vs. Superman” and “Wonder Woman”  films held the second spot while British model Jourdan Dunn placed third. Emma Watson, best known for her role as Hermione in the “Harry Potter” film franchise, was at the fourth spot, while famous Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani was fifth. According to Ed Umbao of <a href="http://philnews.ph/2015/12/30/liza-soberano-kathryn-bernardo-included-in-the-100-most-beautiful-faces-of-2015/">PhilNews</a>, that <a href="http://www.tccandler.com/the-100-most-beautiful-faces-of-2015/">TC Candler</a> said that the list is not a popularity contest and that it attempts to form a public opinion instead of reflecting it. TC Candler also explained that the list tries to put together a representative of the modern ideal of beauty and that aesthetic perfection is only one of the criteria. They also claimed that this list has taken into consideration the opinion of a group called “The Independent Critics,” which are a diverse group of men and women, young and old, originating from and living in various parts of the world. This is the first time since the list began in 1990 that Filipinos were included in the list. Meanwhile, following 2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach’s compliments of Soberano’s beauty and her potential as a beauty queen, renowned designer Rene Salud also expressed her support in convincing Soberano to join the Binibining Pilipinas pageant. In an interview with Mario Dumaual of <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/video/entertainment/v3/02/09/16/liza-soberano-pasok-sa-top-10-most-beautiful-sa-buong-mundo">ABS-CBN</a>, Salud said Soberano is exceptionally beautiful compared to her contemporaries in the showbiz industry. However, Soberano said while she is thankful for the compliments from the reigning Miss Universe, joining the Miss Universe pageant is not in her plans although she is not closing the door to the possibility.
