It was done through a collaborative effort of the group’s volunteers, government employees of the town and donors.</p><br/><p>“The ‘dream of a summer night’ is a style Environment Decoration Steam-punk made of old parts of washing machines. 133 drums are transformed into lamps with lights of various colors to illuminate the streets of Saint John of God during the celebration of St. Peter,” the group said in a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/TeatroMetaphora/">Facebook</a> post.</p><br/><p>The project mostly used discarded drums found on the streets. They also used some that were donated to them. The idea sprouted after watching friends fall over at a baseball game and yet, “No one could find a Band-Aid when someone got hurt”, said Taylor.</p><br/><p>The young boy knew his design was one of its kind, so he decided to develop RecMed for real and worked on a prototype with the help of his parents, who were both working in the medical industry, and then acquired a patent.</p><br/><p>Taylor then went on to pitch his design to Round House Startup Space where he won third prize. The young entrepreneur has already raised more than $ 100,000 in investments and has received an order of 100 machines from Six Flags theme park which costs $ 5500 each, reports <a href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3585987/Bill-Gates-worried-Teenage-CEO-14-turns-30-million-buyout-offer-innovative-aid-vending-machines.html?ito=social-facebook">Daily Mail</a>.</p><br/><div class="easy-ads"><div class="easy-ads-lite easy-ads-lite-bidvertiser-middle"><br/><br/></div><br/></div><br/><p>One of his teachers, Clarinda Jones, said,”It has been amazing watching Taylor grow over the past year into this confident and amazing business man. Even with all of his success, he remains humble and ready to help others. He’s just 14. Bill Gates should be worried.”</p><br/><p>According to <a href="http://www.ems1.com/technology/articles/90161048-Teen-invents-sells-first-aid-vending-machine/">EMS1</a>, the RecMed machine offers two options: prepackaged first-aid kits for sun burns, cuts, blisters and bee stings or individual supplies like Band-Aids, rubber gloves, hydrocortisone wipes and gauze pads.
