Jose was the first ever Filipino actor to bag a Best Actress award, beating famous Hollywood actresses Charlize Theron and Marion Cotillard for the movies ‘The Last Face’ and ‘From the Land of the Moon’, respectively.</p><br/><div class="easy-ads"><div class="easy-ads-lite easy-ads-lite-bidvertiser-middle"><br/><br/></div><br/></div><br/><p>After Jaclyn Jose, it’s Kapamilya actor John Lloyd Cruz’s turn to be recognized internationally after he becomes first Filipino and Southeast Asian actor to receive the Star Asia Award at the 15th New York Asian Film Festival in the United States, for the movie ‘Honor Thy Father’.</p><br/><p>Cruz, according to <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/06/01/16/john-lloyd-is-first-southeast-asian-to-get-star-asia-award">ABS CBN News</a>, is one of the three recipients of the award.
