This is the message of the video created and posted by Dude PH regarding the plight of the stray and impounded dogs in Baguio City. A certain Jason Quema first shared the pictures of the current conditions of the dog on Facebook dated February 10. The two-minute video revealed that 30 impounded dogs in Baguio City are locked up in cages in the city pound. The dogs, of different sizes and breed, were caught in the streets or have been abandoned by their owners. While the city pound aims to rescue the stray or lost dogs, they could no longer accommodate and afford the growing number of impounded dogs; thus, the canines are scheduled to be euthanized on February 15, 2016. The video appeals to anyone with a soft spot for the dogs to help save them before it’s too late. The creator of the video suggests that the canines be adopted and be saved from euthanasia. With the video circulating on the social media, many netizens responded to the heed. One Facebook user shared that they have successfully brought home their adopted pets. Trexcy Sorbito commented: “Galing na po kami dun, na adopt na po namin ‘yung mami na may 6 puppies. Madami pa pong natira dun. Hope you guys do the same, let’s save.” [We’ve been there and have adopted the mother dog with 6 puppies. Many are still left. Hope you guys do the same, let’s save]. Many expressed their interest to save and adopt the dogs.
