The vice president’s representative also said that when Aquino’s allies took over the control of Makati after ex-Mayor Jejomar “Junjun” Binay was ousted, the city has already experienced “rapid deterioration.“ “In the few months that the President’s allies have run Makati, the people have experienced a rapid deterioration in the delivery of services, the return of fixers at City Hall, and local gangsterism at the barangay level. The clamor is for the return of the Binay brand of service. And not even the President’s unfortunate remarks will change that,” Salgado added. Last week, the country’s chief executive spoke negatively about his next-in-command, who was appointed as the officer-in-charge of Makati by former President Corazon Aquino in 1986. “Napakalinaw noong mga panahong iyon kung sino si Jejomar Binay.
