The renowned theoretical physicist claimed that humanity now has at least one thousand years before a possible extinction event.</div><br/><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><br/><div style="text-align: justify;">While Hawking said it was a “”glorious time to be alive and doing research into theoretical physics”, he said that there are many problems that we humans are facing which may lead to global catastrophe. Meanwhile, the family of the late professor is seeking justice for his death and is appealing for the  swift repatriation of his remains.</p><br/><p>“<em>Sana mabigyan ng katarungan ang pagkamatay ng kapatid ko kasi lubos kaming nasaktan sa ngayon. Dahil hanggang ngayon, wala pa yung bangkay niya sa Pilipinas</em>. [Hopefully we will have justice for the death of my brother because we are immensely hurt by what happened. Lubis was reported to have screamed before collapsing on the floor.</p><br/><p>After attacking his professor, Siregar hid inside the bathroom as an angry mob formed outside. He  was eventually taken outside by local police officers.</p><br/><p>Meanwhile, Lubis was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment but her wounds proved to be fatal.</p><br/><p>It is still unclear exactly why Siregar committed the killing.</p><br/><div class="easy-ads"><div class="easy-ads-lite easy-ads-lite-bidvertiser-middle"><br/><br/></div><br/></div><br/><p>The university administration declared a two-day period of mourning for the slain professor.</p><br/><p>“The director and the entire academic community of UMSU expresses deep sorrow over this tragedy. As a form of grief, all the activities of lecturing and administration from campus will be suspended for two days to give time to mourning,” the UMSU announced in an official <a href="http://www.umsu.ac.id/berita/337-umsu-berkabung-dan-libur-dua-hari.html">statement</a>.</p><br/><p>Students and colleagues mourned the death of Lubis, whom they say was a motherly figure on campus.</p><br/><p>The family of the slain professor called for justice over her death.</p><br/><div class="wrapper"><br/><div id="story-area-131684" class="story-area cXenseParse" readability="57.991549295775"><br/><div class="storypage-divider desktop" readability="38.002840909091"><br/><p>“My family cannot believe something like this could happen. Maria after initial investigation found out that his mobile phone and wallet are missing.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">According to a security guard near the area, the last time he saw Sta. Maria alive was when he was accompanied by a man; a pedicab driver. To note, the victim has been separated from his wife for some time and was living alone.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">In social media, a lot of students and professors from PUP expressed grief over the death of the one they describe as a good and jolly person.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">“<em>Isa sa pinakapaborito ko at pinakamagaling na propesor na nakilala ko. You’d go out of his classroom with a smile on your face. I remember we were only talking about him because we missed him already],” expressed N. Malgapo.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">“RIP (rest in peace), Sir.<em> Salamat sa tinuro mo sa ‘min sa buhay</em> [Thank you for the lessons you taught us about life],” P.
