These NPA members, who kill our police and soldiers?” the <a href="http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/779743/roxas-duterte-admin-will-coddle-support-communist-rebels">Philippine Daily Inquirer</a> quoted him as saying. “The president’s job is to uphold the laws of our country, not to approve these illegal activities which go against all the principles of our country.”</p><br/><div class="easy-ads"><div class="easy-ads-lite easy-ads-lite-bidvertiser-middle"><br/><br/></div><br/></div><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">Roxas also frowned on Duterte’s past statements urging civilians to just pay the NPA revolutionary taxes; saying the communist insurgents’ acts should not be tolerated by anyone.</p><br/><p style="text-align: justify;">“The NPA is our enemy. They kill our police and our soldiers. They occupy what is not theirs, they collect taxes from farmers and indigenous peoples.
