There was no movie, fashion label or cause to promote – the Hollywood star just wanted to have a low key, private time to survey Manila and meet up with friends. Local press said he was at the Manila Polo Club for a bulk of his time in Manila. The <a href="http://lifestyle.inquirer.net/225030/owen-wilson-played-tennis-visited-bgc-and-left-quietly">Inquirer</a> said that in the Club, he played a game of tennis, did a few laps in the pool and even participated in an equestrian competition last Sunday. He politely declined photograph requests from Friday to Saturday but finally agreed to a photo on Sunday with visual artist and businesswoman Marivic Rufino. Rufino saw him at the Club’s 51st Annual Horse Show and Equestrian Exhibit. The Zoolander and Wedding Crashers star was also spotted taking a stroll at the Legaspi Village Market. The open-air market promoting organic fresh produce is a popular spot for families and friends looking for a suburban-feel market in the city neighborhood surrounded by condominiums and office buildings. Wilson had friends to keep him company and take him to the right places. One of his friends, creative director and businesswoman Sabrina Van Cleef Ault, took him to hang out in Bank Bar; one of the hottest bars in Metro Manila. The club is located in the basement of a bank. It has no visible signage and guests have to go through a 7-11 store and climb down a hidden staircase to be able to get inside. Van Cleef Ault is married to Michael Van Cleef Ault who has been dubbed as “The King of New York Nightlife”. He is the man behind one of the highest earning clubs, Pangaea in New York. In 2011, he moved to Asia to open Pangaea and Avalon at the Crystal Palace in Singapore.
