BANGKOK, Thailand – A man was left bloodied and unconscious after a battle with a huge snake which slithered up sewer pipes and bit onto his genitals as he sat on the toilet.
Scott Campbell identified the victim in his article for Mirror CO UK published on May 25 as Atthaporn Boonmakchuay, who was squatting over the toilet at his home in Thailand on Wednesday morning when he suddenly felt a sharp bite to the tip of his private part.
The surprised man immediately grabbed down below and was horrified to discover that his hand had caught the head of a huge snake that had clamped its jaws around his genitals.
The 38-year-old man immediately screamed and called his wife, then began fighting the snake which refused to let go from the bite it made.
An article by Fionn Hargreaves for The Sun said Atthaporn and the python were thrashing around the tiny toilet, leaving blood splattered across the floors, as the man tries to overpower the snake.
Trying to concentrate on what he needs to do next to save his body part, Atthaporn asked for a rope and just before passing out managed to grab the head of the four-meter python and tie it to the bathroom door.
The man, who lost consciousness because of massive blood loss, was immediately brought to a hospital.
An article by Bangpakong News said that emergency services were then called in to free the massive serpent from pipes under the family home in Chachoengsao, east of Bangkok.
Firefighters used hammers to smash the toilet and drag the still alive python off the ground. Investigators suspected that the snake swam up a pipe leading to the bathroom. The python is set to be released back into the wild soon.
Meanwhile, Atthaporn is still in the hospital but is reported to be in stable condition.
