The hotly-anticipated second installment of the popular movie franchise 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is about to reach Philippine shores.
For those who have been living under a rock for the last few years, the Fifty Shades franchise is a series of films based on the novels by E.L.James.
The series revolves around the protagonist, Anastasia Steele and her steamy love affair with her boss, Christian Grey. Steele and Grey are played by Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan respectively.
The series is notorious for its sexual content.
When the first installment came out, the MTRCB did not allow local theaters to show it in its full uncut version. Fans of the series complained that they were presented with a heavily-edited version of the film when they went to see it 2015.
This year, the highly anticipated sequel, 'Fifty Shades Darker' was released. Fans of the books and the movie franchise will probably be delighted to hear that the new MTRCB officials have decided to let Filipino audiences see the new film in unedited.
That's right, dear readers. 'Fifty Shades Darker' will be shown in theaters this month in its full uncensored glory.
The MTRCB has given the film an official R18 rating.
