A Marikina teacher has gone missing after he made ominous posts announcing his own death.
Paul Anthony Miranda Esguerra, seemed to be quite fixated with death in a series of posts he made in the evening of February 5. He has since disappeared and family and friends have already reported him as a missing person.
Esguerra, 26, graduated from University of the Philippines with a bachelor's degree in History and is currently teaching in APEC Schools Marikina.
From his Facebook feed, Esguerra did not look like a person with deep emotional troubles. His pictures depicted him as someone with a lot things to keep him busy with. He even participated in the recent rally protesting the burial of Marcos in the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Yet that night, the seemingly lively online facade turned grim when he started posting messages about his death. One of his posts said, "Dead is the new sexy."

Another one is seen saying, "Goodluck finding my corpse."
According to the Facebook status, the location from which he made these announcements were from Nangka, Quezon City.
Michelle Marie Mendoza, Esguerra's partner said, "He told me that he will be going to a birthday party and have appointments with different persons/friends. He went home first in his family residence in Project 4, Quezon City. By 5 p.m., he left wearing checkered polo, maong pants and black leather shoes."
His cousin, Gary Joran Mayoralgo, also sought the help of netizens through a Facebook post dated February 7:
"GUYS, I NEED YOUR HELP.

none of his family and friends have been able to contact him. According to his family, he was set to go to one of his friends' party but has not gone home since then. His last known whereabouts based on his latest recent Facebook posts are either Manila Bay, Nangka Marikina or Cubao."
