Kapamilya actor Carlo Aquino admitted having a closer relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Angelica Panganiban, now.
In an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) during the media launch of his latest TV series, 'The Better Half', Carlo shared his insights about Angelica's own lovelife.
According to him, he understands why Angelica can't engage in romantic relationships again as she experienced two major heartbreaks. Angelica's relationship with her 6-year boyfriend Derek Ramsay and her recent break-up with John Lloyd Cruz made it hard for her to commit to love again.
Carlo can see that even though Angelica is yet to find luck in love, she is still happy with the support she is getting from her family and friends.
Basta buo ang pakiramdam mo sa sarili mo," Carlo said in an interview with PEP.
The actor admitted that he is enjoying a present closer relationship with the actress as they get to bond with each other together with their other friends. According to him, they are even planning to go out of the country.
"Oo, grupo kami. May viber group kami.
Despite closeness to his ex-girlfriend, Carlo claimed that his long-time girlfriend Kristine Nieto does not feel jealous towards his renewed friendship with Angelica. He said that Kristine fully understands everything about him especially when it comes to his job as an actor and celebrity. After all, Kristine is also exposed in the industry as she was once a member of all-girl group, Eurasia.
"Okey din naman sa kanya. She's very understanding.
Asked about his future plans, Carlos shared that he and Kristine are still saving up for their wedding. Although they are already living in the same house, the couple decided to marry each other first before they conceive a child. They also have plans of putting up their own restaurant as his partner is currently taking up culinary studies.
Carlo was also asked to compare his non-showbiz relationship with his showbiz one. The award-winning actor answered:
