Kayley Burke, a mom from Brisbane, Australia, was heartbroken after losing her 11-month-old son to complications brought upon by chicken pox. She couldn’t help but take her plea directed at parents around the world to Facebook.
Her message? Have your kids vaccinated. This was after her son Elijah caught chickenpox and caused infections which aggravated his scabs and sores. Unfortunately, Elijah was too young to get vaccinated.
She shared horrific photos of Elijah’s face, which was covered by chickenpox sores. Burke urges parents all over the world to vaccinate their kids and themselves to prevent spreading it to infants like Elijah.
She said:
“Vaccinate your Kids People…The pictures show you exactly why…Our poor baby boy who is too young to be immunised has caught the chicken pox.
“Bottom line, if You don’t vaccinate your kids your [SIC] a bloody idiot.. Think about the risk you are putting on other helpless kids that are too young or who actually can’t be vaccinated.”
