According to the commander of 104th Sultan Brigade Col. Thomas Cirilo Donato, 11 members of the rebel group Abu Sayaff (ASG) have just surrendered to government troops in Sumisip, Basilan.
Rebels Basri Laisun, Moton Indama, Marham Musana, Haimin Jalil, Halid Murasimin, Haraward Sahirulla, Hasim Baliyung, Sadjara Hadjarama, Tari Murasimin, Gulam Hajim and Ring Langka surrendered in Barangay Buli–Buli and turned over their high-powered firearms.
The said rebels are expected to be entrusted to the custody of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Gov. Mujiv Hatam “for rehabilitation and integration into the mainstream of our society” said Donato.
