There was a man who had worked the majority of his life and has saved all of his money. He was a genuine scrooge when it went to his cash. He cherished cash more than pretty much anything.

Just before he passed on, he said to his wife, ‘Now listen, when I pass on I need you to take all my cash and place it in the casket with me. Since I need to take all my cash to the afterlife.’

So he got his wife to promise him with all her heart that when he died she would put all the money in the casket with him. When one day he died.

He was stretched out in the casket, the wife was sitting there in black alongside their closest companion.

When they completed the service, just before the funeral directors got prepared to close the coffin, the wife said, ‘Hold up a moment!’

She had a shoebox with her, she came over with the shoebox and put it in the casket. Then the undertakers bolted the casket and moved it away.”

Her friend said, ‘I hope you weren’t crazy enough to put all that money in there with that stingy old man.’
