After hearing the news that basketball legend, Kobe Bryant was back in Manila, a huge number of Filipino fans decided to visit him for his “Mamba Mentality Tour” at the Araneta Coliseum. As soon as he appeared on stage, fans and followers immediately took out their phones to record and picture the amazing event before them.
Among the NBA superstars, Kobe Bryant is probably the most often visitor of the Philippines and expressed, “It’s always fun to come here, there’s so much energy that surrounds the game and so much passion for the game.” And also added his enthusiasm, stating, “I enjoy everytime I come here.”
Though he recently retired after he pursued his career for 20 years, there are still so many fans who appreciate and support Bryant through the years.
And like a true and supportive fan, here are some of the pictures inside the Araneta Colliseum where Filipino fans went to finally see their hero in the flesh:
As you can see from the images, Kobe Bryant was able to communicate and interact with many Filipino fans in all ages. There were even a crowd who requested to have a “groupfie” with him.
Then, Filipino players gathered and listen to Bryant’s teachings and guidance as he coaches Team UAAP during his Mamba Mentality Tour. Afterwards, the Pinoy ballers were able to play at the Araneta.
When the play ended, Bryant gave a long inpirational talk to the Filipinos preset at the arena, encouraging them to feel more courageous and enthusiastic. And the tour has finished, the fans all lit up their phones, as some also took pictures, to tribute for his tour.
Finally, he waves back to Filipinos as he exits the event’s place.
