Diaz, however, added that the two remain friends despite their split. Despite speculations that John Lloyd is playing beautiful music with his “A Second Chance” co-star Bea Alonzo, the former couple did not open up about the report. Meanwhile, John Lloyd assured that if ever he will have a new relationship, he will not keep it a secret or hide it. “Life is too short. You have to make every moment count. This is according to the data posted by the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) on the site, <a href="http://www.phil-job.net">www.phil-job.net</a>, with 12,400 vacancies for sugarcane farmers and 100 job openings for sugarcane grinders. “We were surprised and at the same time we are happy because [agricultural workers do not usually] figure as in demand,” said Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz in an article written by Jocelyn Uy for <a href="http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/777065/sugarcane-farming-is-2nd-hottest-job-in-ph">Inquirer.</a> According to Baldoz, the demand for sugarcane farmers can be attributed to the stable sugar prices in the global market. She said the price of sugar remains stable irrespective of the developments in the world hence it remains in demand. “That means good investment for our sugar industry, whether for planters, millers and distributors,” she explained. The vacancies are in Matalam, North Cotabato under the High Yield Sugar Farms Corp. Baldoz said the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) are closely monitoring how the online application is doing and assures they can monitor referral to companies in need of workers. Meanwhile, the BPO industry still tops the most in demand job with over 28,000 available vacancies. Other vacancies include customer service assistants, service crew, sewers, credit and collection specialists, cashiers, staff nurses, cooks, domestic helpers and production machine operators. Before the incident, actor Ian de Leon was also called a good Samaritan when he rescued a 10-year-old boy after being hit by a speeding motorcycle. According to Sarmiento, de Leon was the only one who helped her son and brought him to the emergency room. Two weeks ago, the U.S.-Philippines Strategic Dialogue has listed at least five sites in the country where the American government may assign their personnel to conduct military operations. Included in the list are the Antonio Bautista Air Base in Palawan, Basa Air Base in Pampanga, Fort Magsaysay in Nueva Ecija, Lumbia Air Base in Cagayan de Oro and Mactan-Benito Ebuen Air Base in Cebu. He urges detractors not to take his performance for the Binays personally since he was not actually endorsing them but is just working for his family’s sake. Pollisco, who is popular for his rap songs which dealt on social issues in the country, first performed for the Binays during their Easter Sunday rally in Noveleta, Cavite. He has since been drawing flak online; with many disappointed fans accusing their idol of selling out to the Binays for money. Some found his act ironic because many of his critically-acclaimed songs such as “Upuan” and “Dapat Tama” delve on corrupt politicians and an unjust political system. U.S. FDA approves first drug for a rare kind of liver disorder

This is the first FDA-approved therapy for treatment of severe hepatic VOD, a rare and life-threatening liver condition,” U.S. FDA said in a news release. In a Reuters article which was posted on <a href="http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/560946/scitech/science/rare-liver-disorder-drug-wins-us-approval#sthash.gjoEbJPg.dpuf">GMA News</a>, it was disclosed that U.S FDA approved Jazz Pharmaceuticals Plc’s defibrotide to treat patients with hepatic VOD which is a potentially fatal complication of stem-cell transplantation in which some of the veins in the liver become blocked, causing swelling and a decrease in blood flow inside the liver. The disease is not something to be ignored as it can lead to liver damage. In addition, in its most severe form, patients develop failure of the kidneys and lungs. According to Stifel Nicolaus analyst Annabel Samimy while citing a published research, out of the nearly 20,000 stem cell transplantation procedures done in the United States annually, about 8.8 to 13.8 percent of the patients suffer from severe VOD. With this, she said she expects the drug to be launched in the United States real soon. She added they are just selfish and preoccupied with their own interests to care about the state of the country. “You argue a lot about living in fear under Duterte’s rule but you haven’t noticed the fear that has crippled you all these years,” she said. “You are more concerned with your safety than the life (sic) of future generations. A few days ago, DBM announced the release of 24.7 billion Bottom-Up Budgeting funds for Eastern Visayas; the region most affected by supertyphoon Yolanda in 2013. But Gariguez said this is exactly their concern – that the funds would end up being used by the government to further their candidates’ agenda. He also accused the Aquino government of trying to defer the release of funds to Yolanda victims for two years until now, in the middle of the campaign period. “It’s good because we have sufficient funds, but the timing of the release is what we’re concerned about. Speaking before a group of foreign journalist at the Publish Asia Conference, Aquino said China’s assertion of might and rapid militarization of its occupied island in the disputed territory left the Philippines with no choice but to reconsider its policies, such as investing resources to its maritime domain awareness. “We’ve had to accelerate the modernization of our armed forces for self-defense need,” Aquino said. “We might have to undergo various aspects of our own military capabilities that have never been part of our needs.” The president added: “For instance, we are a natural transit point into the Pacific, and we are studying whether or not we do need a submarine force.” However, Aquino maintains the Philippines would like to maintain its stand as an advocate of peace and would continue to seek peaceful resolution to the raging territorial dispute. The Third Division had earlier ordered the remarking of some of the documentary exhibits of the prosecution after it found several discrepancies with the description and numbering on some of them. The Sandiganbayan had previously canceled the trial dates in mid-February and for the entire March to provide the prosecution ample time to finish the remarking. However, during the hearing on Wednesday, it was revealed that the prosecution has still 143 documents to remark. Aside from this, the prosecution said they further need to have an additional 943 documents to be marked as new exhibits. According to <a href="http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/560861/news/nation/trial-of-gigi-reyes-janet-napoles-plunder-case-deferred-anew">GMA News</a>, the documents that the prosecution wanted to be marked as additional exhibits included liquidation reports, disbursement vouchers, check numbers, several photographs and letters of correspondence between the government implementing agencies and the supposed fake non-government organizations (NGOs) allegedly chosen by Senate Minority Floor Leader Juan Ponce Enrile as partners in implementing projects funded by his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or pork barrel. The prosecution also said that they need the entire month of April to finish all the marking of the documents. Meanwhile, Third Division chairman Presiding Justice Amparo Cabotaje-Tang expressed dismay over the delays, but in the end, acceded with the request. “Where will this bring us? Are we going to suspend the proceedings for as long as the prosecution wants to?” Tang said. Napoles’ lawyer Stephen David also expressed his dismay over the prosecution’s intention to present over 900 more documents. “Those were existing documents. The pair also promised to stop corruption and ineptitude in Land Transportation Office (LTO), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC). “Incompetence breeds corruption. And corruption thrives in a culture of ineptitude. Mayor Duterte and I will not allow these things to continue. If elected, we will make sure that the different transportation agencies will truly serve the needs of our transport workers,” Cayetano said. During his campaign sortie in Iloilo on Monday, March 28, Senator Cayetano listened to the complaints of jeepney and bus drivers against the burdensome boundary system. He was accompanied by Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, Mayor Duterte’s son, during the dialogue with the drivers. The drivers told Senator Cayetano that because of the boundary system, they only earn P300 to P400 daily (around $ 5 to $ 8) even if they work for 10 to 12 hours a day. The website <a href="http://www.batasnatin.com/law-library/mercantile-law/transportation-laws/2228-boundary-system.html">Batas Natin Law Library</a> said under the boundary system, “the driver is engaged to drive the owner/operator’s unit and pays the latter a fee commonly called boundary for the use of the unit.
