Wife’s maternity shoot ‘photobombed’ by jumping dolphin

It was Saturday and the weather was perfect for the scenic beach and for Dan Mozer and his wife Angeline. At the time, she was nine months pregnant with their first child and the couple wanted to commemorate this beautiful phase of their life through a maternity shoot before the delivery. Little did they know that a dolphin was going to show up and make things even more memorable.

Upon arriving at the beach in Florida, the couple immediately searched for a good spot for taking photos. Angeline then posed with a huge smile on her face as Dan took photos of her.

While Dan was busy taking snaps of his wife, a dolphin suddenly leaped from the ocean. The moment was perfectly captured by Dan on cam.

In an interview with Yahoo Parenting, Dan said:
“Someone started yelling to us that there were dolphins, and we could see their dorsal fins. Then, out of nowhere, this thing just jumps out of the water. When I took it, I was like, ‘Oh, my God!’ Unfortunately, she totally missed it.”

Dan and Angeline submitted their maternity photo to local news channel News4JAX. The news outlet shared Dan’s photograph on its official Instagram page, bearing the caption: “A once in a lifetime shot. Viewer Dan Mozer shared this image of his wife Angeline as they were taking maternity shots at Atlantic Beach. #Dolphinphotobomb”

Many online users were instantly awestruck upon seeing the photo. It received several positive remarks from commenters. Just like how Dan described it, it was a truly “magical” moment to spontaneously see and then capture a dolphin jumping out of the water. It was made even more special considering it was a maternity photoshoot for Dan’s wife.

Dan said:
“How quickly I forget how magical a dolphin jumping out of the water is! Now I’m picking my favorite jump! And no, we’re not changing his name, as some have suggested, to Dolph Finn.”
