Changi Airport was voted the world’s best seven times in the past; including 4 consecutive times over the past 4 years. The ceremony was held at the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Cologne. Skytrax’s Edward Plaisted said Singapore’s premiere gateway is a favorite among traveling passengers because of its “continuing ability to be able to innovate in product and service options for its customers, and to make the experience as relaxing and comfortable as possible.” In a statement, CEO of Changi Airport Group Mr. Lee Seow Hiang described the feat as a significant achievement and a clear affirmation that they ‘continue to hit the right notes’ in their pursuit of service excellence. “We do not take this recognition for granted; it is the extraordinary effort and commitment of the entire airport community that drives Changi’s success,” Lee said.  “We thank our passengers and partners alike for their continued support and confidence in us.” Changi Airport, which also won Asia’s Best Airport and Best Airport in Leisure Amenities awards, is joined in the top ten list by 6 other Asian airports, including one in the Middle East, and three others from Europe.
