What do you think would happen if American Nationals tried being jeepney conductors for a day?
A video that features 5 Bisaya-Speaking Americans who acted as jeepney conductors has been circulating online!
The 3-minute video shows how these Filipino–by–heart Americans had fun imitating Jeepney conductors as they call for passengers.
“Singapore, Singapore… Taiwan, Taiwan… China, China...” One of them yelled as they called for passengers.
The video has quickly captured many netizens’ attention and some say that this is hilarious because they had no idea Philippine Jeepneys were travelling in various parts of Asia.
The five Bisaya-Speaking Americans belong to a group called Hey Joe Snow that launched in YouTube back in 2014. Their YouTube channel aims to promote fun and entertainment in the Philippines.
They are missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in Cebu for 2 years, where they learned to speak the local dialect and ended up developing a great love for the Philippines.
