“I just got back from the Philippines last week and for me to able to share this in a film it would be able to reach so many more thousands and millions of people and that’s one of the goals he had when making this documentary so I think it’s a very special way and a means of showing everyone my life and showing them if they want to do something they can,” she was also quoted as saying in the ABS-CBN story.
As an activist, Cox has travelled to Ethiopia and the Philippines to advocate for the rights of the disabled. She is “lobbying Senators in Washington, D.C. on behalf of a major international disability treaty, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD),” a description of her in her website wrote.
