For a 19-year-old missionary who managed to escape death for the third time after surviving the Brussels attack on March 22, the world is a dangerous planet and not everyone is kind and loving.
As testified by Chad Wells, the father of the young missionary Elder Mason Wells, his son was also able to dodge death while he was in Paris last year during the attacks and a block away from the finish line of the Boston Marathon during the bombings, as well.
“This is his third terrorist attack,” Chad Wells was quoted in an article published by Philippine Star on March 23.
Mr. Wells recounted that his son was at the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013 where he traveled with his mother, and was nearby when the explosion occurred. He was also in France during the Paris attacks last year.
In the Brussels attack, on the other hand, Mason caught himself in the middle of the major attack as he was dropping off a fellow missionary at the airport.
Report stated that the American Mormon missionary who suffered severed Achilles tendon, injuries from shrapnel, with second and third-degree burns on his face and hands after the bombing is currently recovering in a hospital in Belgium.
Earlier, ISIS has claimed responsibility for the double blasts, which left at least 14 people dead at Brussels Airport.
An article published by Daily Mail disclosed that a third ISIS bomb tore apart a train carriage on the nearby Metro line in Maelbeek, which killed 20.
Between the two attacks, nearly 200 people were injured, the report added.
