Senator Tito Sotto was said that Senator Manny Pacquiao and PNP Chief Director General Ronald ‘Bato‘ Dela Rosa have not violated any law in the country regarding the controversial trip of Dela Rosa’s family to Las Vegas last week, arguing that all happened in Las Vegas.
Sotto believes that Bato didn’t violate anything because he was already in Las Vegas when the senator shouldered all of his expenses.
In his tweet, he said he was confused about the controversy.
‘Ang hindi ko maintindihan ay kung anong batas sa Pilipinas ang na violate ni Gen Bato at Manny, eh sa Las Vegas nangyari yun?’ he tweeted.
Sotto added that Pacman shouldered the expenses of Dela Rosa in Las Vegas and not in the Philippines where public officials should not accept gifts.
He even tagged Teddy Boy Locsin for more discussion about this issue.
‘Sa Las Vegas nangyari, therefore, not within the jurisdiction of the Philippines. What do u think @teddyboylocsin ?” Sotto wrote in other tweet.
Ombudsman Conchita Carpio–Morales said Bato has violated a law after he admitted that Pacquiao shouldered all of his expenses in Las Vegas.
Bato said he has not violated any laws and even urgied the Court to imprison him once proven guilty.
