Aside from its breathtaking scrivener, Puerto Princess might be holding the biggest pearl in the world.
According to Aileen Amurao, City Tourism officer, it was a local fisherman who turned over the said pearl to them. The fisherman and his family kept the pearl for 10 years before deciding to give it up. He also shared that the clam got stuck at his fishing net during one of his fishing days.
The pearl weighs 32 kilograms and has the area of 1ft x 2 ft.
It longs to break the current largest pearl in the world which was also found in Palawan and weighs 6.4 kilograms. It was found in 1930s and was called the Pearl of Lao Tze.
Meanwhile, the Puerto Princess Tourism Office awaits the official results.
