- Facebook launched its birthday recap video
- FB compiles all messages and photos posted on your wall during your birthday and makes a personalized clip out of it
- Users can customize the video before posting – selecting messages and photos to be included and what to highlight or not
The social media giant Facebook successfully launched a feature that would make their birthday celebrant users have an awesome experience through “Birthday Recap Video”.
Through the feature, according to a Facebook press release, all the photos and messages sent to a celebrant by friends during his/her birthday will be compiled to create a personalized video clip to be delivered the next day.
The celebrant can personalize and edit the video before opting to share it publicly or enjoy it privately. The user can also customize the video — allowing the birthday celebrant to choose the messages and photos that he/she wants to include and highlight.
Interestingly, Facebook users make over 100 million birthday videos daily, reports have disclosed.
A sample Facebook Birthday Recap Video which run for about 45 seconds was also shared.
The birthday cake is lighted followed by the opening of its topmost layer where balloons of various colors pop out and a message “Hey Andrea (name of the celebrant), the party’s not over.”
It is then followed by showing various birthday greetings sent by the friends of Andrea.
On its last 15 seconds, the topmost layer of the cake appears with a lighted candle; with the FB like button on its center. The message says “Happy Birthday from all of us on Facebook.”
