- Mayweather shows off his love for top luxury brands
- He spent over $ 400,000 on Hermes bags in Paris
- He said it’s his treat for himself
Floyd Mayweather Jr. once again showed off just how much he enjoys his retired life.
The retired pound-for-pound king who is known for his love for top luxury brands spent over $ 400,000 on Hermes bags during his trip to Paris, France recently.
In an Instagram post, Mayweather wrote: “Went bag shopping at Hermes in Paris, France today. I treated myself to one size 55 Hermes Hac crocodile men travel bag and 3 size 50 Hermes Hac crocodile men travel bags and bought @melissiarene a 40 orange crocodile Birkin. Over $ 400,000 spent in Hermes cause I stay in my lane.”
Last March, the undefeated American boxer was seen wearing a $ 2-million watch as he cruised around Los Angeles with a caravan of four high-priced cars, including the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, which he revealed cost him almost $ 5 million.”
Market Watch quoted him as telling TMZ: “I keep about four or five toys in L.A. I got a high-rise in L.A. And I got a mansion in L.A., I’m loving the retired life. Still making seven figures a month for the rest of my life. Smart investments. I’ve made some smart moves. It’s not really bragging if you got it.”
It seems like by spending his hard-earned money is how Mayweather wants to enjoy his retired life.
He announced his retirement after his fight with Andre Berto last September 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
After 49 straight victories, the 38-year-old boxer believed he had accomplished everything in the sport and he has nothing left to prove. That’s the reason why he decided it’s time for him to retire.
Last February, he revealed he has been offered a huge amount of money to come out of his retirement and fight once again.
Mayweather told BBC: “It’s been crazy numbers that’s been thrown at me of course, nine figures. You know, I’ve had money thrown at me from so many different countries. If I get the itch to come back, it really won’t be for the money but I’ll have to get paid, that’s why the nickname is Floyd “Money” Mayweather.”
However, despite the tempting amount of money offered to him, he emphasized he’s retired.
