- Security along C-5 Road is now being tightened by Taguig City police
- A viral video became an eye opener that some children are throwing rocks at vehicles
- Police also coordinate with the Department of Social Welfare and Development
The police authorities have tightened the security along C-5 Road after a video showing a group of children throwing stones at vehicles went viral.
In an article that was published on ABS-CBN, it was disclosed that a number of kids were spotted at an area on C-5 road near Market! Market!
According to Taguig police chief S/Supt. Ramil Ramirez, the youngsters were from neighboring towns and were using the road as a hangout place. Upon Ramirez’s request, the road entrance that the kids had been using was sealed.
Many Facebook users got disappointed with both the children and the government.
“That’s why these kids are being used because they can get away with what they do. That RA 9344 needs some major revamping so that any minor that will be caught doing the same act for the 2nd time will no longer be returned to their parents but experience some jail time,” wrote K. Neko.
“One of these days those ass hats are going to be shot and nobody will bat an eye…i’m not saying they deserve it, but if nobody in the government would make a move, one of those car guys definitely will,” commented M. Villanueva.
“That’s only in the PH. In other developing countries before major infrastructures are erected, proper zoning is 1st done to insure that no other private structures are visible within a specified meters away to anticipate public road issues like people & animal crossing or loitering within roads, bridges etc. Public safety is a must before any infrastructure. In our homeland, anything goes,” said K. Yue.
Meanwhile, Taguig police said have already coordinated with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD); for the agency to rescue the children.
