Nothing can ever pacify a passionate heart, many say. If you truly want something, and you strive enough for it, all dreams can come true. Philip Viscaya is the exact epitome of this principle after finally graduating in the Philippine Military Academy (PMA).
And not just that! Philip is finishing as the 2nd honor of their class! His parents, Nestor and Maria Elena Viscaya of Bonga, Ligao City, couldn't be any prouder! They worked hard to support Viscaya's education through farming. Mr. Nestor Viscaya farms corn for a living to support his 6 children, with Philip as the oldest.
When they received the news last Monday, they were moved by how Philip worked hard to give them back the honor they deserved. They will be going to Baguio on Wednesday to witness and attend Philip's graduation.
Meanwhile, netizens were also moved by Philip's determination. They noted how poverty shouldn't be a hindrance to persevere and pursue your dreams. One noted: "Parehas cla nagsumikap. Yng ama tinulungan ang anak n tuparin ang pangarap. Ang anak tinupad ang pangarap. Parehas silang d nag give -up kahit mahirap. Mabuhay kau. Another from Bicol."
