After being silent for a long time, young actor Ronnie Alonte finally speaks up about rumors linking him to TV host and comedian Vice Ganda.
During the press launch of Club Penshoppe PH’s pool of new ambassadors which includes Ronnie, the ABS-CBN showbiz news team was able to get his statement regarding issues involving him and Vice Ganda. This is the first time Ronnie was able to talk about the rumors with the press.
Ronnie said that he and Vice Ganda are just very close friends being bashed by judgmental people.
Grabe nila i-judge ‘yung mga bakla eh,” Ronnie said during the press conference.
He said that the rumors were based on their judgment regarding his sexuality.
“Totoo ‘yun. Grabe nila i-judge ‘yung mga bi or ‘yung bading at once na kasama ibig sabihin jowa kaagad. So parang may something kaagad kagaya kay Vice or sa ibang make up artist or kahit sino man po," Ronnie added.
The 20-year-old actor continued by saying that Vice Ganda has been really nice to him. He said that they are treating each other with mutual kindness.
“Sobrang okay kami. Wala kaming relasyon,” he added.
Ronnie then shared that they already talked about the issue. He said that when he paid a visit to ABS-CBN’s noontime how ‘It’s Showtime’, he mentioned the controversy to Vice Ganda.
Earlier his year, the rumors about the two having an affair started when a sex video allegedly featuring Vice and Ronnie circulated online. Since then, the two were accused of having a romantic relationship. However, it was reported that no video was ever released to the public.
Despite issues and criticisms, Ronnie remained positive as he looks forward to a more prominent career. He also decided to take the hateful remarks as an instrument for motivation.
