Ever felt constantly dizzy and having a hard time balancing? Do you feel nauseated at all times? Then you might want to have yourself checked for Vertigo.
Vertigo is a condition caused by an inner ear problem. This can be accompanied by migraines, a spinning feeling, abnormal eye twitching and ringing in the ears.
Although it is not that serious of a condition, it can cause discomfort and uneasiness to the patient. This can also lead to serious illnesses like brain damage.
However, there are proven ways to suppress its irritating symptoms.
A study conducted by the Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Colorado Hospital, Dr. Carol Foster, proved that this simple trick can help ease the discomfort brought about by the symptoms. The technique is called the half somersault maneuver. It has already been proven to work on patients from mile high mountains of Denver to the deserts of Saudi Arabia.
All you have to do is get down on your knees. Slowly tip you head upside down while trying to keep your eye on the ceiling. The position should resemble the somersault position. Then slowly turn your head to the direction of your left elbow. Regulate breathing, making sure to inhale and exhale deeply. Do this until dizziness subsides. Then sit down with your head lined up with your back. Once again, breathe deeply.
Dr. Foster says that the technique can "dispel all the dizziness in the world."
