Celebrities have a knack for spending their hard-earned money on things that they can share with their families, and most of them tell people about it on television or share them on social media.
And if there’s one Filipino celebrity who knows how to splurge some money, it certainly is Coco Martin.
The "Ang Probinsyano" male superstar shared to his fans his grand and luxurious mansion on Instagram. He certainly did not hold back on the elegance. The 2,000 square meter home in Quezon City cost him a reported P100 million, and took 10 years to build.
Martin was proud to tell a team from YES! that the house was a product of his hardwork, which is why it took a decade to build. He said that it was a symbol of his perseverance and dedication to rise to the top and become one of the A-list actors in the Philippines today.
"Ang tagal ginawa ’yong bahay, kasi ipon, ipon, ipon. “Natakot naman akong mangutang sa bangko, kasi alam mo naman ’yong work natin— minsan okey ’tapos biglang mawawala,” he told the interviewers from YES!
According to the interview, the house was mainly built for his family, as many of the designs and spaces used were made for his relatives and loved ones.
Coco had had a good year for his career last 2016, with projects that Filipinos have continuously supported. This included his hit primetime TV series, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, and his recently concluded and successful Christmas film, “Super Parental Guardians”.
