Based on the statement of those people who often attend religious ceremonies, the chances of passing away early is one-third lower than those people who does not attend any religious activities.
According to the article of Rachel Bishop and Jim Leffman, people who go to church have lower chance of having cancer.
The examination and the study was conducted by Dr. Tyler Vander Welee who is an epidemiology professor at the Harvard T.H Chan School of Public Health.
“Part of the benefit seems to be that attending religious services increases social support, discourages smoking, decreases depression, and helps people develop a more optimistic or hopeful outlook on life,” the doctor said.
However, the researchers admitted that the observational study was only including Protestant and Catholic Communities.
