- Pacquiao wins over Bradley via unanimous decision
- His first Instagram account after his win is a photo with his wife Jinkee
- “Through thick and thin. Always by my side no matter what. To God be the glory.” – Pacquiao
Minutes after he defeated Timothy Bradley Jr. on their third face-off inside on Saturday, April 9 (Sunday, April 10 in the Philippines) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao shared his photo with his wife Jinkee Pacquiao on his Instagram account.
He wrote: “Through thick and thin. Always by my side no matter what. To God be the glory.”
Jinkee shared the same photo on her Instagram account with a Bible verse.
The Sarangani vice governor wrote: “2 Corinthians 3:4 “We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ.” Praise God! Indeed, we are Victorious in the name of JESUS.
Thank you JESUS! Glory to GOD!”
Although Pacquiao wasn’t able to knockout Bradley, he definitely showed that he still has what it takes to win against a strong fighter.
When he was asked by the members of the press about his official status as a boxer, Pacquiao said, “As of now I am retired. I am going to go home and think about it, but I want to be with my family. I want to serve the people of the Philippines.
As for Jinkee, she is happy that her husband has decided to retire from boxing.
She disclosed in an interview with Philboxing last February: “Tama na.” [It’s enough.]
Jinkee believes that Pacquiao has already served boxing too much so he should really retire and concentrate on serving his people, if he so desires, without sacrificing everything, his body and, most importantly, his family.
The “Pambansang Kamao” is currently serving as a congressman and is running for the Senate in the coming May 2016 election.
