- Senatorial candidate Leila De Lima preferred Dawn Zulueta to portray her in biopic
- Some liked the idea while others prefer other actresses for the role
- The former justice secretary said she wants the film title to be ‘The Lady Justice’
Senatorial candidate and former Department of Justice secretary Leila De Lima said she wants actress Dawn Zulueta to portray her in a hypothetical biographical film on her life as a government official.
In an article that was posted on ABS-CBN, it was disclosed that De Lima mused on the possibility of a film being made about her life.
“That’s the story of my life, you know, ‘yung mga nangri-raid, ‘yung lumalaban para sa katarungan [the one who raids, the one who fights for justice],” she said.
According to De Lima, she wants the film to focus on how she was raised and how she applied it in her job. Moreover, she suggested that it should be entitled “The Lady Justice.”
“Gusto kong mag-focus [ang film] sa nagawa ko, ‘yung paglaki ko, and then ‘yung nagawa ko. Paano ako pinalaki ng parents ko, at paano ako nagtrabaho sa mga ibinigay sa aking trabaho [I want the film to focus on what I’ve done; how I was raised. How my parents raised me, how I worked],” she added.
A lot of Facebook users reacted on De Lima’s statement — some believe that Zulueta is perfect for the role while others think that other actresses are better.
“Good choice of actress,” said D. Reci.
“Iyan ang gusto ko ke madam eh, mahusay kahit sa pagpili ng taartits [That’s what I like about madame, she’s good even in choosing the right actress],” commented S. Abenoja.
While some prefer Cherri Pie Picache and Eugene Domingo.
Meanwhile, Zulueta, who is married to politician Anton Lagmadeo, has yet to express support for any candidate in the upcoming elections.
