If you are a Youtube junkie who is fond of watching make-up tutorials, you might have stumbled upon Ry Velasco’s beauty channel. You might not know this but she’s actually the daughter of retired boxer and Olympic silver medalist, Onyok Velasco.
Onyok Velasco is married to May Balisi-Velasco and the couple was blessed with four kids, Angel being the third one.
Angel Velasco, or more popularly known by her social media name, Ry Velasco, is making waves in the internet with her beauty and undeniably enthralling charms. Even though she is not in the showbiz industry, this stunning young blogger and aspiring make-up guru has a legion of fans. In fact, her Youtube channel has more than 54,000 subscribers as of this writing.
Angel is currently taking up Export Management at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. “Magandang Buhay” hosts Karla Estrada, Jolina Magdangal, and Melai Cantiveros had a chance to know more of Angel back in August 2016. It was also that time when the hosts immediately noticed that Angel resembled the Teen Queen, Kathryn Bernardo.
When Angel was asked to describe Onyok as a dad, she shared with a smile,
“Siya yung parating nagmo-motivate sa ‘min. Alam mo yung tipong kahit small, like… sumasali kasi kami sa mga competitions, kaming mga siblings. Tapos kahit small competition, big competition, parati siyang nandiyan para sumuporta.”
She added that Onyok is the type of father that urges them to try harder.
Ry said,
“Kapag nagfe-fail kami, parang ‘Daddy parang di ko kaya yan.’ Sasabihin nya lang, kapag nagfe-fail ka, the next thing to do is try harder.”
It was also confirmed by herself that Onyok teaches her and her siblings boxing during vacation. These lessons were for their benefit as they can use it for self-defense.
