Well-known online news site Rappler had been drawing flak after a controversial post in their social media accounts.
In a webtoon, they portrayed personalities Mocha Uson, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre and Senator Allan Cayetano as dogs. The post was captioned with "Those born on the Year of the Dog are said to be faithful & loyal. Here are Mocha Uson, Sec Vitaliano Aguirre, & Sen Alan Peter Cayetano."
Rappler immediately took the post down and apologized in a tweet saying "We apologize for a Chinese New Year image that was not approved for posting."
However, some netizens aren't satisified with the apology and asked for Maria Ressa, CEO and Executive Editor, to personally apologize for the horrible mistake.
