The Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) gets much praise and adoration from netizens after they showcase their “Paddy Art” featuring the President of The Philippines, Mr Rodrigo Duterte. The pictures were posted online last Friday, September 16.
The “Duterte Paddy Art” masterpiece is an art made from real rice fields, and it was designed to form the letters of the famous nickname of the President which is DU30. It also showacased the impeccable skill of the PhilRice community, as they also included the face of Mr Duterte on the rice field.
One can see the post of PhilRice on Facebook saying, “Come and take a look at PhilRice LB’s Paddy Art, at the 10-5 Palayabangan Field along Biotech Rd, UPLB! #DU30 #paddyArt #philrice #rice #art”. The post has been shared for over 300 times on Facebook and has continuously been getting praises from citizens from all over the world.
The PhilRice also posted photos of their rice fields with the faces of AlDub on their project, earlier this year. This is in collaboration with their efforts to encourage students to consider rice farming and agricultural courses.
Rice is the number one staple in the Filipino kitchen and is often paired with savoury dishes in the Philippines.
