The Hopeful Son Of Antique, Joshua Oliveros took home the title of being the grand champion of 'The Voice Kids' at the Resorts World Manila on Sunday.
An average percentage of votes of 56.15 in the semi-finals gave Joshua and edge from the competition with his own version of Yeng Constantino's 'Salamat'.
After his performance, the judges praised him.
On the other had, his coach Lea Salonga revealed the reason why she wanted Joshua to win the competition so bad.
"May something itong batang to. Something that i won't be able to teach," Coach Lea started as the VTR of their rehearsal was playing.
Talking about the pain and the longing that Joshua feels for his mother, "Speaking as an actor, it's incredibly hard to teach heart."
"Bahay ang gusto niya, tahanan," revealed Lea.
"Sana magkatotoo lahat ng pangarap nitong batang 'to. I want this kid's dreams to all come true," wishing the best for his candidate.
