After recent news claiming that the Abu Sayaff Group (ASG) owned up to the responsibility of the Davao bombing that happened on the night of September 2 on the Davao Night Market, another news has sprouted saying Muammar Alkali or Abu Rami, ASG spokesperson denies involvement saying they did not initiate the bombing.
"Kung sasabihin niyo grupo ko, ay hindi grupo ko," Rami said.
Delfin Lorenzana earlier told reporters that there were chances that the terrorist group may be behind the attack as an act of retaliation against the military's all-out offensive in Sulu and Basilan.
Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte also claimed that the Office of the President said the ASG was behind the attack.
Rami admitted he knew nothing about the attack and who were really behind it, however, he says whoever was behind the attack shares the extremist cause of the ASG noting that most victims were Christians.
