In separate interviews, Jolina Magdangal and Karla Estrada expressed their admiration for their “Magandang Buhay” co-host Melai Cantiveros’ strength amid her marital problems with her husband Jason Francisco.
According to an article published by ABS-CBN News, Jolina praised Melai for maintaining her professionalism at work; noting that the comedienne-TV host showed no clue that her marriage with Jason was on the rocks.
“Go, go siya. Very professional siya, very hands-on sa anak niya (with her daughter),” she said.
Jolina added that she really respects Melai for not saying anything against Jason and for still choosing to defend the latter from bashers.
She assured the couple that she’s just there for both of them if they need her.
As for Karla, she said that Melai is very good when it comes to life.
Philippine Entertainment Portal quoted her as saying: “Mukha lang luka-luka ‘yun, pero magaling ‘yun sa buhay.”
[She looks crazy but she’s very good when it comes to life.]
She added that just like her and Jolina, the most important thing to Melai is her family .
“Maubos na lahat ng kaibigan, matira lang ang pamilya, okay ako, okay kami,” she said.
[Even if we don’t have any friends left, as long as we have our families, I’m okay, we’re okay.]
In a series of posts on the Instagram account of Melai and Jason’s child Amelia “Mela” Lucille, the latter said that after almost three years of marriage, they decided to part ways.
He revealed that their falling out began after Melai accepted the series “We Will Survive”.
However, Melai is still hoping they can still solve their marital problems and get back together. She called Jason her greatest love and destiny.
